Meet Larry Lawrence: President, Lawrence Realty

"Family is first, always," explains Larry Lawrence, president of Lawrence Realty.

With his daughter, Chiara, and her husband, Ron, Larry runs "the family business" with the highest level of expertise and the benefit of Larry's long and successful career in business. "I've always been a good sales person. When I've got my mind made up, I just go for it."

Larry remembers the days when he would drive wherever he needed to go to get contracts signed. Today, with clients from the all over the world, including executives from the Silicon Valley, Larry and the team at Lawrence Realty embraced what technology had to offer the real estate business early on and continually strive to be on the cutting edge.

Larry adds that their award-winning mobile app "allows clients to view all the properties they want to look at and becomes an instant reminder of what they have seen," so they can easily refer to it when making a purchase decision.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT SQUAW VALLEY?

LARRY: You never fail to be challenged skiing the mountain. There is always some place on the mountain that will push you to your limit. I grew up on the south side of Chicago. When I pulled into Squaw Valley for the first time in November 1969, there was two feet of new, beautiful white snow and this beautiful mountain, I was blown away by it. I still am.

Squaw Valley, the site of the first televised Winter Olympics in 1960, attracts visitors from all over the world. It's the world's recreation center, an Alpine valley unlike any other.

LARRY: It's an amazing, exclusive golf and ski community with homes from 3000 to 9000 square feet, many on one to two acres. 500 lots have sold since 2006. It's run like a camp, where you can sign up for the numerous activities they have to offer, from the Tom Fazio golf to fishing, hiking and private ski-in, ski-out.

Lawrence Realty is a family owned and operated real estate business located in Squaw Valley, (Lake Tahoe) California. Roland “Larry” Lawrence moved to Squaw Valley in 1969, following his love of the mountains and skiing. He began selling real estate in 1974, became a broker two years later and started Lawrence Realty in 1985.
